After proving the ability to form an Idaho All-Star Band made up from the best students thoughout the state, an invitation was extended to Idaho to form another All-Star Band to represent the state in the 115th Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Califonia on January 1, 2004. Over 300 students were recommended by their directors to participate in this unique group, and Idaho had a representative in the Grand Daddy of all Parades for the first time since Pocatello High School in 1964.

Madison High School was represented by more participants than any other school in Idaho. We sent 56 students to this event. Our school was also represented on the All-Star Band Staff, with Steve Klingler over the Trumpet Section, Teresa Kalco with Marching Skills, and Dan North served with Sam Stone as Associate Directors, with David A. Wells as Executive Director.

The 2004 theme for the Parade was "Music, Music, Music" and John Williams, legendary composer, was selcted as Grand Marshall of the 115th Tournament of Roses Parade.

Drum Majors for the group include Lydia Jones (third from the left).
