Madison

Uniform

The Marching Band is the most visible of the bands at Madison. This group is made up of Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors that have demonstrated their musical ability and desire through audition or by successful participation in the concert program. This group is made up of four sections: the winds, percussion, dancers, and drum majors. Students involved in the Marching Band commit ten days of Band Camp to learning the music and drill to our competition show (Part 1 - June 5th through June 8th at Madison; Part 2A - July 26th and 27th at Madison; and Part 2B - July 30th through August 2nd in Burley, Idaho). They also attend several rehearsals outside of the school day. Performances this season included Madison football halftimes, a local parade, and competitions in Utah and Idaho. Our season highlight will be our trip to the Red Rocks Competition in St. George, Utah. The finale will be when we perform our competition show for the last time at our Parent's Night on November 13th. It will be a great season!

The band staff consists of directors Dan North (logistics, music) and Steve Klingler (drill, percussion, music). Assistants Susanna Blackwood (warm-ups, flags, music), Teresa Kalco (staff), Myron Williams (staff), Jena Draney (staff), Michael Petersen and Carl North (percussion), and Mary Hurd (color guard). We're grateful for all their help as we prepare our season.

Drum Majors for this season are Caleb Lyons (head), Brody Mecham, Julia Reynolds, and Bradyn Hiebert. Band President is Juia Reynolds and Vice President is Dallin Haeberle.
