Madison Symphonic Band
Concert Jackets
The Symphonic Band is the second of the Concert Bands at Madison and represents the school in concerts and festivals throughout Idaho and Utah. The membership of the Symphonic Band is chosen by director recommendation, and consists mainly of junior and sophomores, with a few seniors. Students in this group are eligible for both the Gem State Honor and Clinic Bands, the Gem State Solo and Ensemble Festival, and the State Solo Contest. They can also audition for the Idaho All-State Honor Groups and the All-Northwest Honor Groups. The Symphonic Band meets for the second and third trimesters. The uniform to the left has been changed for this group and we now wear concert black. However, Mr. North likes the rotating picture so it will stay for a while.
